Highest temperature in Amsterdam on June 12?
What you need to know
This market is asking: how warm will Amsterdam get on June 12, 2026? Specifically, it wants to know the single highest temperature recorded that day at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol — and it's asking you to pick which degree it lands on. The three leading options are 18°C, 19°C, and 20°C, which in everyday terms is a mild-to-warm early summer day, roughly 64–68°F. Think of it as guessing the afternoon high on one specific day about a year from now. The market settles based on the peak temperature logged that day at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport weather station, as recorded on Weather Underground. Whatever the highest single reading is — rounded to a whole degree Celsius — that's the winner. It can only officially close once the first data point from June 13, 2026 appears on that site, confirming the previous day is complete. One edge case worth knowing: if Weather Underground revises the temperature before June 13's data appears, the revision counts — but any correction after that cutoff is ignored. No recent news was provided that's relevant to this market. That's not surprising — weather forecasts this far out (over a year away) don't exist in any meaningful form yet. What would eventually matter is the actual 10-day forecast for Amsterdam as June 12, 2026 approaches, or any historical data showing what temperatures are typical for that date at Schiphol. Weather is genuinely hard to predict even a few days out, let alone a year. Early June in Amsterdam typically sees highs in the 17–22°C range, which is exactly why the market spreads its odds across several adjacent degrees. The market currently leans toward 19°C at 47%, but the other options are far from ruled out. A cloudy, cool day could push it to 17°C; a sunny stretch could push it past 20°C. There's no forecast data yet that could sharpen these odds — the uncertainty here is mostly just the randomness of weather itself.
