Highest temperature in Ankara on July 14?

What you need to know

This market is asking: what will the hottest temperature of the day be in Ankara on July 14, 2026? Specifically, it uses the weather station at Esenboğa International Airport, on the edge of the city. The three options — 27°C, 28°C, or 29°C — represent different possible peak temperatures for that single day. Whichever one matches the actual recorded high wins. Think of it as picking the right notch on a thermometer for one afternoon in a Turkish summer. After July 14 ends, the market checks the Weather Underground page for Esenboğa Airport and reads the single highest temperature recorded that day, rounded to a whole number in Celsius. Whichever option — 27, 28, or 29 — matches that number is the winner. The check happens once the first data point for July 15 appears on that page. One important detail: last-minute corrections to the July 14 reading are allowed, but only until that first July 15 data point is published. After that, the number is locked in. No weather-relevant news was provided for this market. The one headline listed doesn't relate to Ankara temperatures. To understand how things might unfold, the most useful thing to watch would be regional weather forecasts for central Turkey in the days leading up to July 14 — particularly any heat patterns moving across Anatolia. Mid-July in Ankara is reliably hot, which is why the market clusters tightly around 28–29°C — but daily highs are genuinely hard to pin down a year in advance. Whether a particular afternoon hits 28 or 29 can depend on cloud cover, wind direction, or a passing weather system. The market currently splits almost evenly between those two options, reflecting real meteorological uncertainty. The question is narrow enough — just one degree either way — that even a small shift in conditions on the day could change the outcome.
