Highest temperature in Atlanta on June 12?
What you need to know
This market is asking: how hot will Atlanta get on June 12, 2026 — specifically, will the peak temperature that day land in the 92–93°F range, the 90–91°F range, or the 94–95°F range? Think of it as a temperature bracket for the hottest moment of that single day. Early June in Atlanta is firmly in summer territory, so the question is really about how intense that particular day turns out to be, not whether it will be warm at all. After June 12, 2026 ends, whoever runs this market will check the Weather Underground website for the official Atlanta airport weather station (KATL at Hartsfield-Jackson). They look at the single highest temperature recorded that day, in whole degrees Fahrenheit. Whatever temperature range contains that number — 90–91, 92–93, or 94–95 — wins. One important detail: if Weather Underground revises the reading before the first data point of June 13 appears, the revision counts. After that cutoff, the number is locked in. The two news items provided — a community calendar and a story about bank lending — have no connection to Atlanta's weather or this forecast. There is no relevant recent news to point to here. What would actually matter to watch is any extended weather forecast for Atlanta in the days leading up to June 12, 2026, or reports of an unusual heat event or cool front moving through the region around that date. Weather is genuinely hard to predict more than a few days out, which makes any market set a year in advance mostly a reflection of historical averages rather than real forecast data. The market currently prices 92–93°F as the most likely outcome at 66%, which aligns with Atlanta's typical early-June highs. But a single passing storm, a stalled heat dome, or an unexpected cool front could push the actual high several degrees in either direction. The spread across three ranges shows real uncertainty — the 20% on 90–91°F and 11% on 94–95°F are not trivial.
