Highest temperature in Guangzhou on June 12?
What you need to know
This market is asking: on June 12, 2026, what will the hottest temperature of the day be in Guangzhou, China? The answer is broken into specific degree options — 30°C, 32°C, 33°C, and others — and whichever single temperature the thermometer peaks at that day wins. Think of it like guessing the high temperature on a weather forecast, but for a specific future date about a year away. Guangzhou is a hot, humid city in southern China, and June sits squarely in its summer rainy season. The market settles based on the single highest temperature recorded on June 12, 2026, at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, as logged on the weather data site Weather Underground. The reading is rounded to the nearest whole degree Celsius — no decimals. Whichever temperature bucket that number falls into wins. The market can only close after the first data point for June 13 appears on that site, locking in June 12's peak. Any corrections published before that cutoff count; corrections after do not. No relevant recent news was provided for this market. Since the date is over a year away, there would be no meaningful weather data yet anyway. What would matter closer to the date: seasonal forecasts for southern China's summer, any developing climate patterns like El Niño or La Niña, and eventually short-range weather forecasts in the days before June 12, 2026. Weather a full year out is genuinely unpredictable — even the best climate models can only describe broad seasonal patterns, not a specific day's high. Guangzhou in mid-June typically sees highs ranging roughly from 29°C to 35°C depending on cloud cover, rain, and regional weather systems that week. The market currently spreads probability across several temperature options, which honestly reflects that spread. The closer it gets to June 12, 2026, the more informative short-range forecasts will become — but right now, no one can know.
