Highest temperature in Kuala Lumpur on July 16?

What you need to know

This market is asking: on July 16, 2026, what will the hottest point of the day be at Kuala Lumpur's international airport? The three choices are 32°C, 33°C, or 34°C — roughly the difference between a very hot day, an extremely hot day, and a scorching one. Kuala Lumpur sits near the equator and is consistently hot and humid year-round, so this is really a question of exactly how hot, not whether it will be hot. After July 16, 2026 ends, whoever runs this market checks the Weather Underground website for the official reading at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (station code WMKK). Whichever single whole-degree Celsius number was the day's peak — say, 33°C — determines the winner. Temperatures are rounded to whole degrees. One important edge case: the market waits until the first data point from July 17 appears before settling, so any last-minute corrections to July 16's data can still count. There's no recent weather or climate news provided that's relevant to this market — the only headline is about Malaysian student loan policy, which has no bearing on temperature. What would actually matter here is any forecast for Kuala Lumpur in mid-July 2026, or historical data showing what peak temperatures at the airport typically look like during that week of the year. Even on a predictable equatorial schedule, daily peak temperatures at a single weather station are genuinely hard to nail down to one degree. Cloud cover, afternoon thunderstorms, and local humidity shifts can all nudge the reading up or down by a degree or two — and in Kuala Lumpur, sudden afternoon rain is common in July. The market currently leans toward 33°C at 47%, but 32°C and 34°C together account for over half the weight, reflecting real spread around what's essentially a narrow, coin-flip-level difference.
