Highest temperature in London on July 13?
What you need to know
This market is asking: what will the hottest temperature of the day be in London on July 13, 2026? Specifically, it wants to know if the peak temperature that day lands at 26°C, 27°C, 28°C, or something else — where each degree is its own possible outcome. Think of it as picking the highest number on a thermometer for that one summer day, rounded to the nearest whole degree. The market settles based on the single highest temperature recorded at London City Airport (station code EGLC) on July 13, 2026, as shown on the Weather Underground website. Whatever whole-degree Celsius number appears as the day's peak reading determines the winner. The market can only close after the first data from July 14 appears, confirming the previous day is complete. Any late corrections to the July 13 data are accepted up until that point, then ignored. No relevant recent news was provided for this market, which is not surprising — it covers a date more than a year away. What would actually matter to watch closer to the time: seasonal forecasts for summer 2026 in the UK, and any short-range weather models in the days just before July 13. Weather on a specific future date is genuinely hard to predict even a week out, let alone a year ahead. The market currently prices 27°C as the most likely outcome at around 51%, with meaningful chances spread across 26°C and 28°C too. July in London can range from cool and cloudy to unexpectedly hot. A heat wave, a passing front, or simply an overcast day could shift the peak by several degrees. The honest answer is that no one knows yet.
