Highest temperature in Qingdao on June 12?
What you need to know
This market is asking: how hot will it get in Qingdao, China on June 12, 2026? Specifically, it's asking you to pick a temperature bucket — will the day's peak hit 32°C or above (roughly 90°F or hotter), land exactly at 31°C (about 88°F), or come in at 30°C (about 86°F)? Qingdao is a coastal city in eastern China, and June is the start of its warm season, so temperatures in this range are plausible but not guaranteed. The market settles based on the single highest temperature recorded at Qingdao's Jiaodong International Airport weather station on June 12, 2026, as shown on the Weather Underground website. The reading is rounded to a whole number in Celsius — no decimals. Whichever bucket contains that number wins. One important edge case: the market can't close until at least one data point from June 13 is published, meaning there's a small window where earlier readings could be revised before it locks in. No relevant recent news was provided for this market. For a weather market like this, what would actually matter to watch closer to the date are seasonal forecasts for eastern China in early June, any unusual heat or cold patterns developing over the region, and historical temperature records for Qingdao around mid-June — those would give the clearest context. Weather is genuinely hard to predict more than a few days out, and this market settles over a year from now — so any current odds are essentially based on historical patterns, not actual forecasts. The three options are priced fairly close together (40%, 38%, 31%), which reflects real uncertainty. Qingdao's coastal location adds extra variability: sea breezes can hold temperatures down even on warm days. A single unusual weather system in June 2026 could easily push the result into any of the three buckets.
