Highest temperature in Shanghai on June 13?

What you need to know

This market is asking: on June 13, 2026, how hot will it get in Shanghai? Specifically, it wants to pin down the peak temperature that day — the single highest reading recorded — and match it to one of several degree options (like 27°C, 28°C, 29°C, and so on). Think of it as a thermometer contest: everyone is guessing where the needle tops out on that one day. Right now the market leans toward 28°C, which is a warm but fairly typical early-June day in Shanghai. This settles based on one specific number: the highest temperature logged at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on June 13, 2026, as shown on the Weather Underground website for that station. The reading is rounded to a whole degree Celsius — so 28.7°C would count as 28°C, not 29°C. The market waits until the first data point from June 14 appears on that site before finalizing, and only temperature revisions made before that cutoff are counted. After that, the number is locked in. No relevant recent news was provided for this market. That's normal this far out — weather forecasts for a specific day more than a year away don't exist yet. What would matter closer to the date: seasonal weather pattern outlooks for eastern China in early June, and eventually the actual short-range forecast for Shanghai in the days just before June 13, 2026. Weather a year in advance is genuinely impossible to predict with precision — even professional meteorologists can't forecast a specific city's daily high temperature more than about two weeks out. Early June in Shanghai typically brings highs ranging from roughly 25°C to 33°C, so several outcomes are plausible. The spread across the current options (27°C at 23%, 28°C at 31%, 29°C at 17%) reflects that honest uncertainty. A single weather system passing through on that exact day could shift the outcome by several degrees either way.
