World Cup: Golden Glove Winner
What you need to know
This market is asking: which goalkeeper will be named the best goalkeeper of the 2026 FIFA World Cup? The Golden Glove is FIFA's official award for the tournament's top goalkeeper — given to the player between the posts who performed best across all their matches. A Yes on any named player means that specific goalkeeper wins the award; if someone not listed here wins, the answer would fall under a separate 'Other' option. The market settles on whoever FIFA officially names as the Golden Glove winner after the 2026 World Cup final, which is scheduled for mid-July 2026. FIFA makes that call — it is not a public vote, but a committee judgment. One edge case worth knowing: if somehow two players are named co-winners, the market resolves to whichever of them comes first alphabetically by last name. If the tournament is cancelled or has no declared winner by August 2, 2026, the whole market resolves as 'Other.' None of the provided news headlines relate to the 2026 World Cup or these goalkeepers. There is no relevant recent news to draw from here. The kind of developments worth watching would be: how each goalkeeper's national team is performing in the tournament, any injuries to the named players, and which teams are advancing deep into the competition — since a goalkeeper needs their team to go far to accumulate enough standout performances to win the award. The core difficulty is that a goalkeeper's award depends almost entirely on how far their team goes and how many high-pressure moments they face — things nobody can control. Mike Maignan needs France to run deep; Unai Simón needs Spain to do the same; Jordan Pickford needs England to go far. A single early elimination ends any player's chances completely. The market is fairly spread across three names, suggesting real uncertainty about which team will reach and excel in the later rounds, where the award is ultimately decided.

How this resolves
Resolves July 20, 2026
This market will resolve to the player who wins the Golden Glove award for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by FIFA rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is cancelled, postponed after August 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
