Resolution Criteria

The 2026 French Open is scheduled for May 18 - June 7, 2026. This market will resolve to the player that wins the 2026 French Open Men’s Singles Tournament. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed player to win the 2026 French Open Men’s Singles Tournament per the rules of the tournament, the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 French Open Men’s Singles Tournament is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2026, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source will be official information from the French Open (https://www.rolandgarros.com/en-us/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Jannik Sinner is the heavily dominant favourite to win the 2026 Men's French Open in current prediction market trading, with volume concentrated overwhelmingly on him above all other competitors. The remaining 66 outcomes share a small fraction of total market weight, making this a highly asymmetric market rather than a competitive field. The market resolves to the official Men's Singles champion declared at Roland Garros by 7 June 2026.

Market structure

The market spans 67 outcomes across named players plus contingency resolutions. Volume is extraordinarily concentrated on a single player, Jannik Sinner, with the remainder distributed thinly across a large field. Resolution is determined by the official Men's Singles champion per Roland Garros. If the tournament is cancelled or produces no winner by 31 July 2026, the market resolves to 'Other'. Players eliminated per tournament rules resolve to 'No'.

Background

The French Open — formally known as Roland Garros — is one of tennis's four Grand Slam events, held annually on clay courts at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris. It is widely regarded as the most physically demanding Grand Slam due to the slower surface and the stamina required across best-of-five sets. The clay-court season culminates at Roland Garros each May and June. Jannik Sinner, the Italian world number one, has established himself as the dominant force in men's tennis through the 2024 and 2025 seasons, winning multiple Grand Slam titles. His rise has coincided with the effective end of the Rafael Nadal era — Nadal, who won Roland Garros a record 14 times, retired from professional tennis in 2024, leaving the clay-court major without its most decorated champion.

Key factors

Clay-court form in the weeks preceding Roland Garros is a significant structural indicator, with results at Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Madrid, and Rome offering direct surface preparation. Player fitness and injury status are particularly consequential on clay given the tournament's physical demands. Draw composition — specifically which quarter of the bracket a player lands in — can determine whether top contenders meet earlier than expected. Sinner's recent participation or absence from clay-season events would materially affect his tournament readiness. French players Arthur Fils and the player listed as Rafael Jodar carry meaningful home-crowd support, which historically influences performance at Roland Garros. Weather disruptions can extend the tournament schedule, altering physical recovery windows between matches. Carlos Alcaraz, should he appear among the competing field by draw confirmation, represents a structural wildcard given his prior Roland Garros history, though his name does not appear among the listed outcomes here.

FAQ

How is the 2026 Men's French Open Winner market resolved?

The market resolves to whichever player wins the Men's Singles final at the 2026 French Open, per official information from rolandgarros.com. Players who cannot win per tournament rules resolve to 'No'. A consensus of credible reporting may supplement the official source if necessary.

When does the 2026 Men's French Open Winner market resolve?

The resolution deadline is 7 June 2026, the scheduled final day of the tournament. If the tournament is cancelled or no winner is declared by 31 July 2026, the market resolves to 'Other' rather than remaining open indefinitely.

What happens if the 2026 French Open is postponed or cancelled?

If the tournament is cancelled, or postponed such that no winner is declared by 31 July 2026, the entire market resolves to 'Other'. A postponement that still concludes before that date would not trigger the contingency, provided a winner is officially declared.

What does the 2026 Men's French Open market currently show?

Market volume is overwhelmingly concentrated on Jannik Sinner, making this one of the most asymmetric Grand Slam winner markets in recent memory. Arthur Fils and the player listed as Rafael Jodar are the next heaviest-backed contenders, though at a substantial distance from Sinner.
