World Cup: Group C Last Place

79%sportsUpdated 13 min ago

What you need to know

This market asks which team will finish dead last in Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage. Every group has four teams, and after three rounds of games each team has a record — wins, draws, losses, and goals. The team with the worst record at the bottom of Group C is what this is tracking. Group C contains Haiti, Scotland, and Morocco (plus a fourth team). A 'Yes' for Haiti, for example, means Haiti ends up with the fewest points in the group. The market settles on whichever team officially finishes in 4th place (last) in Group C after the group stage ends, expected around June 27, 2026. FIFA's official standings determine it — points first, then goal difference and other tiebreakers if teams are level. The market closes July 20, 2026, so there's time for FIFA to confirm results. One edge case worth knowing: if the group stage is cancelled or disrupted past July 11, 2026, the market resolves as 'Other' instead of any team. No relevant news was provided for this market. The headlines available are unrelated to the World Cup or these teams. What would actually matter to watch for: any injury news or form updates for Haiti, Scotland, or Morocco in the lead-up to June 2026, and the official confirmation of Group C's full four-team lineup, which would sharpen the picture considerably. The market is heavily skewed — Haiti is priced at 81%, reflecting that they are widely seen as the weakest team in the group. The main uncertainty here isn't really a coin toss between sides; it's whether the unexpected happens, meaning Scotland or Morocco significantly underperforms. Haiti are making their World Cup debut and face much stronger opposition on paper. The unknown fourth team in Group C also matters — their strength affects how the whole group plays out.

How this resolves

Resolves July 20, 2026

This market will resolve according to the team that finishes last place of Group C in the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage, scheduled for June 11-27, 2026. If multiple teams tie for bottom of the group, this market will resolve according to the official tiebreak procedure of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. If the World Cup group stage is cancelled, postponed after July 11, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no bottom-place team declared for this group within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA (https://www.fifa.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
