World Cup: Kylian Mbappe Goals
What you need to know
This market asks how many goals Kylian Mbappé will score at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with separate yes/no questions for different thresholds. The three thresholds here are 9, 14, and 15 goals. To put that in perspective: the all-time record for goals scored at a single World Cup tournament is 13, set by Just Fontaine in 1958. So scoring 9 would already be historically remarkable, and 14 or 15 would shatter the all-time record by a wide margin. Each threshold resolves Yes if Mbappé's official goal total meets or beats that number by the end of the 2026 World Cup. Only goals from regular play, stoppage time, and extra time count — penalty shootout goals are excluded, and so are own goals. FIFA's official scoresheet is the source of truth. If Mbappé doesn't participate for any reason — injury, suspension, personal decision — all thresholds resolve No. If the tournament is cancelled or delayed past August 2, 2026, markets resolve to a 50-50 split instead. None of the recent headlines provided are relevant to this market. There is no Mbappé-specific or World Cup news in the feed. What would actually matter to watch for: news about Mbappé's fitness and form heading into the tournament, France's squad depth and attacking setup, and how far France advances in the bracket — since more games means more opportunities to score. The thresholds here are genuinely extreme. Scoring 9 or more goals would already rank among the greatest individual World Cup performances in history, and 14 or 15 would be unprecedented. The market currently prices 9+ at 73% and both 14+ and 15+ at 50% — which are striking numbers given the historical rarity. The main uncertainties are Mbappé's health, how many games France plays, whether he takes penalties, and simple match-to-match variance. A single injury or early elimination could collapse all three thresholds at once.

How this resolves
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the number of goals Kylian Mbappe scores during the 2026 FIFA World Cup equals or exceeds the listed number. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Only goals scored during regular time, stoppage time, or extra time count. Only goals credited on FIFA's official scoresheet will count. Penalty shootout goals do not count. Own goals do not count toward the final total. If Kylian Mbappe does not play in the 2026 FIFA World Cup for any reason, this market will resolve to "No". If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is cancelled, postponed after August 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined how many goals Kylian Mbappe scored within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
