World Cup: Player to be in Netherlands's Starting 11

100%sportsUpdated 8 min ago

What you need to know

This market asks whether specific Netherlands players — Tijjani Reijnders, Donyell Malen, and Ryan Gravenberch — will actually be on the pitch when the Netherlands kick off their first 2026 World Cup group stage game. Yes means that player starts and plays from minute one. No means they don't start, get injured before the match, or anything else keeps them off the field at kickoff. Each player is a separate market, so you're looking at them one at a time. Each market settles Yes only if that player is physically on the pitch at kickoff of the Netherlands' very first group stage match at the 2026 World Cup. Being named in the starting lineup isn't enough — if a player is announced but then pulled before the game starts for any reason, it resolves No. The deadline is June 29, 2026. If the World Cup is cancelled or the lineup can't be confirmed by then, all three resolve No. FIFA's official records are the primary source. None of the provided recent news is relevant to this market. The headlines are about unrelated political and entertainment topics. What would actually matter here is Netherlands squad news — injuries to these players, the coach's stated lineup plans, or any late fitness concerns in the days before their first match. These three players are priced at 99–100%, meaning the market treats them as near-certainties to start — and for good reason, as all three are established first-choice Netherlands players. The real uncertainty is narrow but real: a last-minute injury, sudden illness, or unexpected tactical choice before kickoff could still produce a No. At these odds, the question isn't really 'will they start?' — it's 'will anything go wrong at the last moment?' That's a small but genuine risk.

How this resolves

Resolves June 16, 2026

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed player takes the field as a member of the Netherlands' official starting lineup for the first group stage game the nation plays at 2026 FIFA World Cup. Otherwise, the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If a player is officially announced as part of the starting lineup but is replaced before the game begins for any reason, the corresponding market will resolve to "No". Only players that are on the pitch at kick off will be counted toward a "Yes" resolution. If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is cancelled, postponed after June 29, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the listed player cannot be confirmed as a part of the Netherlands' official 1st match starting lineup for the 2026 FIFA World Cup within that timeframe, the corresponding market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market will be information from FIFA (https://www.fifa.com/), however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
