World Cup: Team to Concede the Most Goals (Group Stage)
What you need to know
This market is asking: which national team will have the most goals scored against them across all their group-stage games at the 2026 World Cup? A 'Yes' on Curaçao, for example, means Curaçao ends the group stage having let in more goals than any other team in the tournament. It's essentially a question about which team has the leakiest defense — or faces the toughest opponents — during the opening round. After every team finishes its group-stage matches, whoever has conceded the highest total number of goals wins this market. If two teams are tied on goals allowed, the tiebreaker goes to whichever team scored fewer goals themselves. If that's still a tie, it goes alphabetically by team name. The market settles based on official FIFA data, and the deadline is June 29, 2026 — right when the group stage ends. If the tournament is cancelled or delayed past July 11, 2026, the market resolves as 'Other.' None of the provided recent headlines relate to the 2026 World Cup or the teams in this market. There's no relevant recent news to point to here. The kinds of updates that would matter are things like draw results confirming which groups these teams are in, pre-tournament form, and any injury news for key defenders or goalkeepers. The biggest challenge is that group-stage goal totals are hard to forecast — a single lopsided match can completely change who leads this category. Curaçao is a smaller footballing nation making a rare World Cup appearance, which is why the market prices them highest, but which specific groups teams land in, who they face, and the pace of individual games all matter enormously. There are also many other teams not listed here that could end up conceding the most, which is a real possibility the odds quietly leave open.

How this resolves
Resolves June 29, 2026
This market will resolve to the team that concedes the most total goals through the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup competition. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the team that scored the fewest total goals during the group stage. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to the team that is listed first alphabetically. If the 2026 FIFA World Cup competition is cancelled, postponed after July 11, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no official leader declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
