Which teams will qualify to MSI 2026?
What you need to know
This market asks whether two specific League of Legends esports teams — Gen.G and T1, both from South Korea — will earn a spot at MSI 2026, the Mid-Season Invitational, which is one of the biggest international LoL tournaments of the year. Each team has its own separate Yes/No question. A 'Yes' means that team officially makes it into the MSI 2026 participant list. A 'No' means they don't qualify — either they fall short in regional competition, or the event itself doesn't happen. Each market settles as Yes the moment a team is officially confirmed as a participant in MSI 2026. The confirmation must come from the official LoL Esports website, or be widely reported by reliable sources like Liquipedia. The deadline for that confirmation is August 1, 2026. There is one important edge case: if MSI 2026 is cancelled or postponed indefinitely for any reason — even if the teams themselves would have qualified — both markets resolve No regardless. None of the provided news headlines relate to League of Legends, MSI 2026, Gen.G, or T1. There is no relevant recent news to draw from here. What would matter to watch for is the results of the LCK Spring 2026 split and its playoffs, since those regional standings are what determine which Korean teams earn MSI qualification. The main uncertainty is that qualification depends on regional tournament results that haven't happened yet. The LCK is extremely competitive — T1 and Gen.G are historically dominant, but any team can have an off-split. The market prices Gen.G at 78% and T1 at 28%, suggesting the market sees Gen.G as a strong favorite and T1 as less certain, possibly reflecting current form or standings. Still, upsets happen, and the cancellation clause adds a small but real background risk for both markets.
