PGA Tour: 3M Open Winner: how this market works

42%sportsUpdated 3 min ago

What you need to know

This market asks which specific golfer will win the 2026 3M Open, a PGA Tour event held in Minnesota. A Yes on a player means that person finishes the tournament as the official champion. A No means they did not win, either by finishing lower, missing the cut, or withdrawing. The market currently lists three named players, S.Y. Noh, Tom Kim, and Scottie Scheffler, and also has an implied 'Other' outcome covering any other golfer who might win. The market settles based on whoever the PGA Tour officially names as the 2026 3M Open winner. If a listed player misses the cut or is otherwise eliminated, their market resolves No right away. If someone not listed wins, the market resolves to 'Other'. A tie is broken by the tour's own playoff rules. If no winner is announced by August 1, 2026 at 8:00 PM Eastern Time, the whole market resolves to 'Other' regardless of circumstances. None of the provided news headlines relate to the 2026 3M Open or to any of the listed golfers. There is no relevant recent news to point to here. The kind of updates worth watching for would be player withdrawal announcements, tournament leaderboard updates as rounds are played, or any weather delays that could affect the schedule. Golf tournaments are genuinely hard to predict because many things can shift the result: a single bad round, a missed putt, weather, or an injury withdrawal. The odds here are notably unusual, with S.Y. Noh and Tom Kim each priced near 50%, which is very high for any individual golfer in a field of dozens. If those odds reflect accurate information, the main uncertainty is simply whether an unexpected outcome, such as a win by an unlisted player, breaks through.
