“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” Rotten Tomatoes Score?: how this market works

97%cultureUpdated 5 min ago

What you need to know

This market is asking how well critics will receive the 2026 Spider-Man film 'Brand New Day' on Rotten Tomatoes. The Tomatometer score is simply the percentage of professional critics who gave the film a positive review. So a score of 90+ means at least 90% of critics liked it, a score of 85+ means at least 85% did, and so on. There are three separate Yes/No questions here, each with a different score threshold, and each one settles independently. Each version of this market settles based on the official Rotten Tomatoes 'All Critics' Tomatometer score for the film, checked at 10:00 AM Eastern Time on August 3, 2026. If the score meets or exceeds the threshold, it resolves Yes. If it falls short, it resolves No. One important edge case: if Rotten Tomatoes has not published a score at all by August 7, 2026, the market automatically resolves No, regardless of the reason. The news provided does not relate to this film at all. The two headlines are about brand marketing and SEO tools, with no connection to Spider-Man or Rotten Tomatoes. There is no relevant recent news to report here. The kind of updates worth watching for would be early critic screenings, review embargoes lifting, or any announcements about the film's release date changing. The market prices this film quite confidently, with 97% odds it scores 80+ and 66% odds it scores 90+. The main uncertainty at the top threshold is simply whether critics are that enthusiastic, since a 90+ score puts a film in elite company. Early reviews can shift quickly once an embargo lifts, and a single wave of mixed takes can move a score meaningfully. It is also worth noting the film has not yet been released, so no critic scores exist yet.
