UEFA EURO 2028: Winner: how this market works

21%sportsUpdated 3 min ago

What you need to know

This market is asking which national team will lift the trophy at UEFA Euro 2028, the major European international soccer tournament. A 'Yes' for Spain means Spain wins the whole competition. A 'No' for Spain means Spain did not win, whether they lost in the group stage, the quarterfinals, or anywhere else. The market lists Spain at 21%, France at 19%, and England at 17%, meaning the remaining roughly 43% is spread across all other possible winners. The market settles on whichever country wins the UEFA Euro 2028 final. As soon as a team is knocked out and can no longer win, that team's market resolves to 'No' immediately, not at the end. If the tournament is cancelled or has no official winner declared by July 23, 2028, the market resolves to a special 'Other' outcome instead of Yes or No. UEFA's official results are the source of truth, with credible news reporting as a backup. None of the recent news provided relates to UEFA Euro 2028 or soccer at all. The headlines cover politics, the papacy, and utility billing. There is nothing relevant to point to here. The kind of news that would matter includes tournament qualification updates, injury announcements for key players, or any UEFA organizational changes affecting the 2028 event. Euro 2028 is still years away, which makes this genuinely hard to call. Squads will change, injuries happen, managers get replaced, and new young players emerge. Spain and France have strong recent form, and England has been competitive, but international tournaments are famously unpredictable. The spread across three teams, each under 21%, tells you the market sees real competition with no overwhelming favorite. A lot can change between now and the first match.

How this resolves

This market will resolve according to the nation that wins the UEFA EURO 2028. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed nation to win the UEFA EURO 2028 per the rules of UEFA (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”.
