WSOP 2026 Main Event: Which Players Will Cash: how this market works
What you need to know
This market asks a simple question: will a specific professional poker player finish inside the paid positions at the 2026 World Series of Poker Main Event? The WSOP Main Event is the most famous poker tournament in the world, held every summer in Las Vegas. Only a portion of the thousands of entrants finish 'in the money', meaning they receive a payout. A Yes means the named player cashes; a No means they enter but are eliminated before reaching a paid spot, or they never enter at all. The market settles Yes if the player receives an official payout in Event #82 of the 2026 WSOP, which runs July 2 through August 5, 2026. The source of truth is the official WSOP website, with poker databases like Hendon Mob as a backup. Two edge cases worth knowing: if a player simply does not enter, that is a No, not a maybe. And if the entire tournament is cancelled or not finished by August 19, 2026, the market does not resolve Yes or No but instead splits at 50-50. None of the provided news headlines relate to this market. They cover unrelated topics like trade policy and celebrity news. There is no relevant recent poker news to point to here. The kind of update that would matter is any announcement about the 2026 WSOP schedule, player registrations, or tournament results once play begins in July 2026. The market prices all three players above 95%, reflecting that these are well-known, experienced professionals with strong track records. At those odds, the main uncertainty is not really about competing forces on two equal sides. It is simply whether the unexpected happens: a player skips the tournament, runs into an unusually bad stretch of cards, or the event faces a disruption. The gap between 97-99% and 100% is small but real, and poker always contains genuine randomness that no reputation can fully erase.

How this resolves
This market will resolve "Yes" if the listed player finishes the 2026 World Series of Poker Main Event, Event #82, held July 2–13, 2026, with the final table played August 3–5, 2026 in a paid finishing position i.e., is awarded a payout per the official tournament payout structure. Otherwise, this market will resolve "No." If the listed player does not enter or play the 2026 WSOP Main Event, this market will resolve "No." Any case in which it cannot be clearly established that the listed player finished in a paid position will resolve "No." If the 2026 WSOP Main Event is cancelled, or is not completed such that final paid finishing positions are not determined by August 19, 2026, 11:59 PM ET (two weeks after the scheduled conclusion of the final table on August 5, 2026), this market will resolve to "50-50."
