Ethereum above ___ on July 24?: how this market works

99%cryptoUpdated 1 min ago

What you need to know

These are three separate markets, each asking whether Ethereum's price will be above a specific dollar level ($1,500, $1,600, or $1,700) at a single precise moment: noon Eastern Time on July 24, 2026. A Yes means ETH costs more than that threshold at that exact minute. A No means it does not, even if it was above that level earlier the same day or crossed it one minute later. Each market settles based on one specific data point: the closing price of the ETH/USDT one-minute candle at noon ET on July 24, 2026, as recorded on Binance. Only Binance counts here, not Coinbase, Kraken, or any other exchange. If that single closing price is strictly higher than the threshold ($1,500, $1,600, or $1,700 respectively), it resolves Yes. If it is equal to or lower, it resolves No. The news provided does not relate to Ethereum or cryptocurrency markets. There are no relevant recent headlines to point to here. The kinds of developments worth watching would be major regulatory announcements, broad crypto market moves, macroeconomic news like interest rate decisions, or significant events in the Ethereum network itself. The market prices these at 94 to 98%, meaning participants collectively see crossing these thresholds as quite likely but not certain. The main uncertainty is not a close debate between two equal sides. It is simply whether something unexpected happens before July 24, 2026, such as a sharp crypto market selloff, a major security event, or a sudden macroeconomic shock. Crypto prices can move dramatically in short periods, and over a year, a lot can change.
