Ethereum above ___ on July 23?: how this market works
What you need to know
This is actually three separate markets rolled into one display, each asking whether Ethereum's price will be above a specific dollar level ($1,800, $1,900, or $2,000) at exactly one moment: noon Eastern Time on July 23, 2026. A Yes means ETH cleared that bar at that exact minute. A No means it did not, even if it was above that price earlier in the day or just minutes later. Only that single snapshot in time counts. The market settles based on one specific data point: the closing price of the ETH/USDT trading pair on Binance during the one-minute candle that starts at 12:00 noon Eastern Time on July 23, 2026. If that closing price is strictly higher than the target number, it resolves Yes. If it is equal to or below it, it resolves No. Importantly, only Binance's own price feed counts, not prices from Coinbase, Kraken, or any other exchange, even if those show a higher number at the same moment. No relevant recent news was available for this market. The kinds of developments worth watching for would include major shifts in the broader crypto market, significant Ethereum network upgrades or regulatory decisions, or large macroeconomic events that tend to move risk assets like cryptocurrencies up or down sharply. The odds tell a clear story about the current spread: the market prices $1,800 at 96%, meaning participants see that floor as very likely to hold, while $2,000 sits at only 10%, reflecting genuine doubt about a stronger recovery. The main honest uncertainty is that crypto prices can move dramatically over a year, in either direction, for reasons that are hard to foresee today. Macro conditions, regulation, and market sentiment can all shift the picture substantially between now and July 2026.
