VCT AMER Stage 2 2026: Winner: how this market works

38%esportsUpdated 4 min ago

What you need to know

This market asks which team will win the VCT Americas Stage 2 tournament in 2026, a top-level Valorant esports competition featuring teams from North and South America. Valorant is a team-based tactical shooting game made by Riot Games, and VCT is its official global league. A win for LEVIATÁN, 100 Thieves, or NRG means that team finishes first in the tournament. The market currently gives LEVIATÁN the highest chance at 46%, followed by 100 Thieves at 33%, and NRG at 19%. The market settles on whichever team is officially declared the winner of VCT Americas Stage 2, which runs from July 16 to September 6, 2026. The result comes from Riot Games or widely agreed-upon reporting. One edge case worth knowing: if the tournament is postponed past September 20, 2026, or is cancelled entirely, the market resolves as 'Other', meaning none of the three listed teams pay out. There is also a rare tiebreaker rule: if two teams somehow share the title, the one whose name comes first alphabetically wins the market. None of the provided news headlines relate to VCT, Valorant, or esports in any way. There is no recent tournament news to point to here. What would matter to watch for is match results during the July-to-September competition window, any roster changes before the tournament starts, or news of schedule disruptions that could trigger the 'Other' resolution. Three real sources of uncertainty exist here. First, the tournament has not happened yet, so no match results exist to anchor the odds. Second, competitive esports results can swing quickly based on team form, player health, and roster changes that happen close to the event. Third, the 'Other' outcome is a genuine possibility if the event is delayed or cancelled, which would surprise anyone who bet on a specific team. The market prices LEVIATÁN as the most likely winner, but a one-in-three implied chance for 100 Thieves shows this is genuinely competitive.
