What will WTI Crude Oil (WTI) hit Week of July 20 2026?: how this market works

64%economyUpdated 1 min ago

What you need to know

This market is asking how high or how low the price of crude oil will travel during one specific week in July 2026. WTI is the main benchmark price for American crude oil, and it moves every minute during trading hours. Three price levels are on the table: will oil touch $85 (the crowd favorite), drop to $75, or climb to $90? Each is an independent yes-or-no question, and you are looking at the current odds the market assigns to each one happening. Each price level settles as Yes if oil's price touches or crosses that level even once during the week of July 20 to July 24, 2026. The check is done on one-minute price candles, meaning even a single minute where oil briefly spikes or dips to that number is enough to count. The data source is Pyth, a real-time market feed. If oil never trades at all that week, everything resolves No. One thing worth knowing: the 'active month' contract may roll over to the next month's futures during this window, per detailed CME rules in the criteria. No relevant recent news was provided for this market. Because this market covers a week more than a year from now, the kinds of developments worth watching over time would include major shifts in global oil demand, OPEC production decisions, geopolitical events affecting oil supply regions, and broader economic signals that affect energy consumption. A year is a long time in oil markets, and that is the core challenge here. Oil prices are shaped by OPEC supply decisions, global economic growth, conflicts near oil-producing regions, the US dollar's strength, and unexpected demand shocks, all of which are genuinely unknown this far out. The market currently prices $85 as the most likely touch point at 58%, but oil has historically swung tens of dollars in either direction within months. The wide spread between the three price targets reflects real, honest uncertainty about where oil will be in mid-2026.
