If no winner is declared by 31 December 2026, or if the season is cancelled or postponed beyond that date, the market resolves to 'Other'.
Background
The League of Legends Pro League is China's premier professional League of Legends competition and one of the most prestigious domestic leagues in global esports. Operated under Riot Games' regional structure, the LPL runs two splits annually — Spring and Summer — with the season winner typically determined through playoff performance. Chinese LPL teams have historically dominated the League of Legends World Championship, making the league a focal point for global esports audiences and bettors alike. Bilibili Gaming emerged as a dominant force in recent LPL cycles, winning multiple championships and fielding a roster that drew sustained attention heading into the 2026 season. The league's competitive depth means upsets are a regular feature, and several organisations have invested heavily in roster rebuilds ahead of 2026.
Key factors
Bilibili Gaming's position as the heaviest-backed team reflects recent championship pedigree, but roster changes across the offseason could alter competitive balance significantly. The LPL operates a two-split format, meaning teams must sustain performance across both Spring and Summer to claim an overall season title — a different demand from a single-event knockout. Anyone's Legend and Top Esports have shown capacity to challenge top-tier rosters in recent splits, and Invictus Gaming's backing reflects renewed investment in their programme. Import regulations governing non-Korean players, mid-season roster swaps, and the health or availability of key players are structural variables that can shift competitive hierarchies. The 'Other' resolution mechanism introduces a further consideration: any scenario in which the season is disrupted — whether by logistical, organisational, or geopolitical factors — would bypass all named team outcomes entirely.
