Understand this market
This market is asking a simple question: who will win the 2026 IndyCar championship? IndyCar is the top level of American open-wheel racing, and the champion is whoever earns the most points across the full season of races. A Yes on Alex Palou means he finishes first in the final standings. A Yes on Malukas or Lundgaard means one of them beats Palou and everyone else. Only one driver can win, so only one of these resolves Yes.
The market settles as soon as the final race of the 2026 IndyCar season is officially complete, using the final driver standings from IndyCar. Whoever leads those standings is the winner. One important edge case: if a driver becomes mathematically eliminated from the championship before the season ends, their market resolves No immediately, not at the end of the season. If the season is cancelled or unfinished by September 20, 2026, the market resolves as Other, meaning neither Yes nor No.
None of the provided news headlines relate to IndyCar racing or any of the drivers listed here. There is no relevant recent news to point to. The kind of developments worth watching would be race results, points standings updates, driver incidents, or any mechanical or team changes that could affect championship contention.
The market is heavily one-sided: it prices Alex Palou at 87%, which reflects his strong recent track record as a multiple IndyCar champion. The main uncertainty here is not whether two equal sides exist, but simply whether something unexpected disrupts the expected outcome. That could mean a mechanical failure, an injury, a penalty, or a strong run of results from a rival. Racing is unpredictable race by race, even when one driver is dominant, and the season is not yet complete.

Resolution Criteria
This market will resolve according to the listed driver that finishes 1st in the driver standings for the 2026 NTT Indycar Series. This market will resolve as soon as the official results of the final scheduled race of the 2026 NTT Indycar Series are known. If multiple drivers tie for first place in the drivers standings, this market will resolve according to the tiebreak procedure used by IndyCar to determine the 2026 NTT Indycar Series champion. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed driver to win the 2026 NTT Indycar Series Championship based on the rules of IndyCar (e.g., they are mathematically eliminated from contention), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 NTT Indycar Series season is permanently canceled or has not been completed by September 20, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from IndyCar.
