1win Essence II: Winner: how this market works
What you need to know
This market is asking which team will win a Dota 2 (or similar esports) tournament called 1win Essence II. A Yes on any listed team means that team lifts the trophy at the end of the event. Team Liquid, BetBoom Team, and Team Falcons are the three teams the market gives the most attention to, but other competitors are also in the field, grouped under an implied 'Other' category that accounts for the remaining roughly 16% of probability. The market settles on whichever team is officially declared the winner of 1win Essence II, which is scheduled to run July 30 to August 5, 2026. The official source is the tournament organizer, BASED Esports, though credible press coverage can also be used. One important edge case: if the tournament is postponed past August 19, 2026 or is cancelled entirely with no winner declared, the whole market resolves as 'Other', not as any named team. That means a delay alone could change how this settles. There is no relevant recent news provided for this market. The two headlines in the feed are about UK defence policy and a legal ruling in India, neither of which relates to esports or this tournament. News worth watching for would be team roster announcements, match results during the event, or any official word from BASED Esports about schedule changes. Three teams are priced closely together, with Liquid at 32%, BetBoom at 31%, and Falcons at 21%, which signals genuine uncertainty across a competitive field. Esports tournaments can shift quickly based on which roster shows up in form on a given day, patch changes to the game, and bracket luck. The event is also a year away, meaning roster moves and team form could change significantly before July 2026. The postponement rule adds a small extra layer of unpredictability.

How this resolves
This market will resolve according to the winner of 1win Essence II, currently scheduled for July 30 to August 5, 2026. If multiple teams are declared winner, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed team name comes first alphabetically. Read the full resolution rules on the live market page.
