Ethereum above ___ on August 1?: how this market works
What you need to know
This market asks a simple price question: will Ethereum's price be above $1,900 at exactly noon Eastern Time on August 1, 2026? A Yes outcome means ETH is trading higher than $1,900 at that specific moment. A No outcome means it is at or below $1,900. There is no ambiguity about the question itself, just genuine uncertainty about where a volatile cryptocurrency will be trading more than a year from now. Settlement depends on one single data point: the closing price of the ETH/USDT trading pair on Binance during the one-minute candle that runs at noon Eastern Time on August 1, 2026. If that price is strictly above $1,900, the market settles Yes. At or below $1,900 means No. Only Binance is used as the source, not Coinbase, Kraken, or any other exchange, so small price differences between platforms could theoretically matter near the threshold. No relevant recent news was provided for this market. The kind of developments worth watching would include major shifts in Ethereum's network activity or adoption, broad crypto market trends, regulatory decisions affecting digital assets, and macroeconomic conditions that tend to push risk assets up or down. The market currently prices a Yes outcome at around 1%, meaning participants collectively see it as very unlikely that ETH stays below $1,900 by August 2026, given that Ethereum has historically traded well above that level. The main uncertainty is simply whether an unexpected collapse, regulatory shock, or prolonged bear market could push ETH that low and keep it there. The question is lopsided, not a close call, but crypto is genuinely unpredictable over a 12-plus month horizon.
