What price will Ethereum hit on August 2?: how this market works

88%cryptoUpdated 2 min ago

What you need to know

This market is asking whether Ethereum's price will touch a specific level on August 2, 2026, and there are three separate price targets being tracked: $1,850 (the most popular bet, priced at 58%), $1,900 (33%), and $1,800 (5%). Each one is its own yes-or-no question: did ETH reach that exact price level at any point during the day? It is not about where ETH closes, just whether it briefly touched the number at any moment. Each price level resolves Yes if, at any single minute during August 2 (midnight to 11:59 PM Eastern Time), the high or low of that one-minute candle on Binance's ETH/USDT chart touches or crosses the target price. Even one brief spike counts. Only Binance ETH/USDT data is used, so prices on Coinbase, Kraken, or any other exchange are completely ignored, even if they show a different number. None of the recent news provided is connected to Ethereum or cryptocurrency markets. The headlines cover Australian housing, oil prices, Indian police actions, and medicine pricing. There is no relevant crypto news to summarize here. The kind of news that would matter for this market includes major regulatory announcements, large exchange outflows, or broad market moves in Bitcoin that tend to pull Ethereum along. Crypto prices can move sharply within a single day, so even a level that looks far away in the morning can be touched by evening. The $1,850 market is priced at 58%, meaning the market sees it as a close call. The core difficulty is that short-term crypto price moves are genuinely hard to forecast: global sentiment, sudden liquidations, or macro news can push ETH through a target or keep it away with little warning. The one-minute candle rule means even a very brief spike counts.
