When will Xi leave the USA?

Resolution Criteria

Xi Jinping is scheduled to begin a state visit to the United States on September 24, 2026, where he will be received by Donald Trump at the White House. This market will resolve according to the date, in Eastern Time, on which Xi Jinping physically departs from the United States. Departure is defined as the moment Xi Jinping leaves the terrestrial or maritime territory of the United States, or the moment of take-off of an aircraft which contains Xi Jinping and subsequently lands outside of the United States. If Xi Jinping does not physically enter the terrestrial or maritime territory of the United States by October 7, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or has not departed by that date, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the governments of the United States and China; however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
