Ethereum price on August 4?: how this market works
What you need to know
This market is asking: what will the price of Ethereum (ETH) be at exactly noon Eastern Time on August 4, 2026? It is split into price range buckets, and right now the crowd thinks there is a 52% chance ETH lands between $1,800 and $1,900, a 33% chance it lands between $1,900 and $2,000, and a 10% chance it falls between $1,700 and $1,800. You are not picking Yes or No on a single outcome, you are picking which price range wins. The market settles based on one very specific number: the closing price of the ETH/USDT trading pair on Binance at the end of the one-minute candle that closes at noon Eastern Time on August 4, 2026. Binance is the only accepted source, so prices from Coinbase, Kraken, or any other exchange do not count. If the price lands exactly on a boundary between two ranges, it counts toward the higher range. Any outcome not covered by an active bracket resolves as No. None of the recent news provided relates to Ethereum or cryptocurrency markets. There are no relevant headlines to summarize here. The kinds of developments worth watching for would be major crypto regulatory announcements, significant Ethereum network upgrades, large macroeconomic events like central bank decisions, or broad risk-off moments in financial markets that tend to move crypto prices sharply. Crypto prices over a year-long horizon are genuinely hard to pin down. A lot can change between now and August 2026: broader economic conditions, regulatory shifts, Ethereum network developments, and overall market sentiment can all move the price significantly in either direction. Even the specific measurement method adds a small layer of unpredictability, since a single one-minute candle at noon could look different from the daily average. The current odds reflect the crowd's best guess, but a year is a long time in crypto.
