Will Neuralink’s valuation hit __ by August 31?: how this market works

69%economyUpdated 1 min ago

What you need to know

This market asks whether Neuralink, Elon Musk's brain-computer interface company, will reach a specific dollar value as a company before the end of August 2026. There are three separate thresholds: $45 billion, $70 billion, and $40 billion. Each one is its own Yes or No question. A higher valuation means the private market thinks the company is worth more, similar to a price tag on the whole business. The market settles based on a specific pricing tool: the NPM Price published by Nasdaq Private Market, a platform that tracks valuations of private companies not yet listed on a stock exchange. If that price, on any single day between now and August 31, 2026, reaches or exceeds the threshold listed, it resolves Yes. One important edge case: if Neuralink goes public through an IPO before August 31, the market will then use its actual stock market value instead of the NPM price. No relevant recent news was provided for this market. The kind of developments worth watching would include new funding rounds for Neuralink, clinical trial updates for its brain implant device, any regulatory decisions from the FDA, or early signals about a possible IPO, since all of those tend to move private company valuations meaningfully. Private company valuations are genuinely hard to track because they are not updated constantly like a public stock price. The NPM Price is published once per day and only reflects trades that actually happen on that platform, which can be thin and infrequent. Beyond the data limitations, Neuralink is in an early, high-risk stage of medical technology, meaning news about its implant trials, regulation, or competition could shift its perceived value significantly in either direction before August 2026.
