Ethereum above ___ on July 31?: how this market works

99%cryptoUpdated 1 min ago

What you need to know

These three markets each ask a simple price question: will Ethereum's price be above $1,500, $1,600, or $1,700 on a specific future date? A Yes means ETH is trading above that dollar level at noon Eastern Time on July 31, 2026. A No means it is at or below that level at that exact moment. Think of it like a snapshot: only the price at one specific minute matters, not the day's average or high. Each market settles based on one single data point: the closing price of ETH/USDT on Binance during the one-minute candle that starts at noon Eastern Time on July 31, 2026. Binance is the only source that counts, so prices on Coinbase, Kraken, or anywhere else are irrelevant even if they differ. If that one Binance price is even one cent above the target, it resolves Yes. At or below the target, it resolves No. No averages, no other exchanges, no exceptions. No specific recent news was provided for this market. For a price question like this, the kinds of developments worth watching would include major shifts in broader crypto sentiment, significant Ethereum network upgrades, regulatory announcements affecting crypto markets, or large moves in Bitcoin that tend to pull ETH along with them. The market currently prices all three thresholds, $1,500, $1,600, and $1,700, at around 98%, meaning participants collectively see it as very likely ETH stays above these levels by July 2026. The real uncertainty here is not a balanced debate between two sides. It is the small but real possibility of a sharp, unexpected crash before the deadline. Crypto markets can drop dramatically and quickly, and over a year-long horizon, a lot can change.
