What will Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) hit Week of August 3 2026?: how this market works
What you need to know
This market asks whether Microsoft's stock price will reach specific high targets during the trading week of August 3 to August 7, 2026. There are three separate price targets: $495, $502.50, and $510. Each one is its own Yes or No question. A Yes means MSFT's price touched or exceeded that level at least once during regular market hours that week. A No means it never got there. Higher targets are naturally harder to hit, which is why the odds drop as the price goes up. Each target resolves Yes if, at any point during regular trading hours (9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET) from August 3 to August 7 2026, the highest price recorded in any single one-minute window is at or above the listed number. The data source is Pyth, a price feed service. If Pyth has a technical outage, the official daily high from the primary exchange is used instead. Pre-market and after-hours prices do not count, even if MSFT trades well above a target outside regular hours. Stock splits would trigger proportional adjustments. The only relevant news provided is a headline about Amazon joining the $3 trillion market cap club, driven by AI and cloud growth. That matters here because Microsoft competes directly in both areas, and a rising tide in tech sentiment can lift MSFT alongside peers. The other headlines in the feed cover unrelated topics like Indian agriculture and ethanol policy. No MSFT-specific news was provided, so there is no company-level development to point to directly. Stock prices over a week-long window can move significantly due to earnings reports, broader market swings, economic data, or sudden news. The market currently prices the $495 target at 65%, meaning it sees a meaningful but not certain chance MSFT reaches that level. The $510 target sits at just 29%, reflecting how much harder a bigger move is to achieve in a single week. The main unknowns are macro market conditions, any surprise news about Microsoft, and general tech sector momentum, none of which anyone can fully foresee a year out.
