Solana above ___ on August 5?: how this market works
What you need to know
This market asks whether the price of Solana (SOL) will be above a specific dollar threshold on a specific future date. There are two separate versions here: one asks if SOL will be above $70, and another asks if it will be above $80. A Yes means SOL's price is higher than that number at exactly noon on August 5, 2026. A No means it is at or below that number at that moment. Settlement depends on one single data point: the closing price of the SOL/USDT trading pair on Binance during the one-minute candle that starts at noon Eastern Time on August 5, 2026. Only Binance counts here, not Coinbase, Kraken, or any other exchange. If the price at the close of that one minute is strictly above the threshold ($70 or $80), it resolves Yes. At or below resolves No. One minute, one exchange, one price. No specific recent news was matched to this market. The kinds of developments worth watching would be broad crypto market trends, any major regulatory news affecting Solana, significant changes in network activity or adoption, and general macroeconomic conditions that tend to move crypto prices up or down. The market prices the $70 threshold at around 94% and the $80 threshold at around 1%, so these two questions are not equally open. For the $70 question, the main uncertainty is simply whether something unexpected drives SOL well below its current level over the next year. For the $80 question, the market sees it as a long shot right now. Crypto prices can move dramatically in either direction over a year, driven by regulation, sentiment shifts, or broader market conditions that nobody can fully anticipate.
