Will SpaceX (SPCX) finish week of July 20 above___?: how this market works
What you need to know
This market is asking whether SpaceX stock (ticker: SPCX) will close above a specific price on Friday, July 24, 2026. There are actually three separate price targets here: $100, $95, and $105. Each one is its own Yes/No question. For example, 'above $100' means Yes if the stock closes at $100.01 or higher, and No if it closes at exactly $100 or below. The market is essentially a snapshot of where traders expect the stock price to land by the end of that trading week. The market settles based on SpaceX's official closing price on Friday, July 24, 2026, using data from a service called Pyth, which tracks stock prices in real time. The closing price is taken from the last minute of the regular trading session. If the price lands exactly on the target, that counts as No. If the stock does not trade at all that day, the market splits 50-50 between Yes and No. If a stock split happens before then, the target price is adjusted proportionally so the comparison still makes sense. One headline from July 24 is directly relevant: a report notes that Alphabet, a major tech company, is both a large SpaceX investor and a customer spending roughly $920 million per month with SpaceX. This kind of news can matter to a stock's price because it highlights the financial relationship between SpaceX and a key partner. The other two headlines are unrelated to SpaceX or its stock price. The three price targets tell a clear story about where the market currently stands. At 98%, the market is highly confident the stock closes above $95. At 51%, it sees the $105 target as essentially a coin toss. That middle ground around $100 to $105 is where the real uncertainty lives. Stock prices can shift meaningfully in a single week due to news, broader market moves, or changes in investor sentiment, and SpaceX is a private company whose shares trade less freely than typical public stocks, which can make prices less predictable.
